[ED: This is a conversation about the potential impact of gen-AI on creativity. It talks mostly about implications and consequences and should apply to a wide audience of tech and non-tech alike: 1/5 hats.]

Braingasm

I recently had the opportunity to join Patricia Sabga on BCG’s “Imagine This…” podcast to discuss what GenAI will — and will not — be able to do by 2030 and how humans and machines can work together to create a better future for everyone.

From the show notes:

Will a coming generation of AI bots be able to generate and iterate ideas as well as or better than people? Will knowledge workers be replaced by machines? BCG’s Matthew Sinclair imagines a future where technology could replace writers, software engineers, and, yes, consultants–although he’s not convinced that businesses should lose the human touch. There are inherent risks in handing over the most creative elements of your business to bots–including perpetuating what Matthew calls “the tyranny of the banal.”
